Located on Kentucky Lake, it is know nationwide as a premier fishery for crappie, bass, catfish and sauger. In addition to superb fishing, the Land Between the Lakes (LBL)
which forms it's eastern shoreline, is one of the country's most popular National Recreation Areas.
The most publicized portion of Kentucky Lake is its northern section with several dozen resorts and campgrounds located from the Dam to the Eggner
Ferry Bridge. While this area is deserving of its reputation, we have found that many people would prefer to vacation in a less populated area which retains a full service concept.
The southern portion of the lake (from the Ferry Bridge to the
Tenn. border), has only 3 resorts, one on the main lake, and two on the Blood River, which flows into Kentucky Lake. 8000 acres of excellent fishing, boating and recreation -- more remote, but still only 15 miles from Aurora, Murray or the LBL. The
Blood River provides a rare fishing opportunity, isolated from the main lake activity.
Lynhurst Resort is a premier fishing and family recreation destination. Recognizing that a family vacation is a major investment of valuable time and money,
we strive to provide facilities and activities for the whole family at affordable prices. We are one of the rare resorts that charge by the room, NOT by the number of people in the room. Which is a greatly added value to our guests with larger
families. We have a small restaurant to serve breakfast, lunch and select evening selections for the anglers who prefer to hit the lake early, and for the cooks in the family that may want a break on vacation. Nearly all of our units have kitchens as
well.
In addition to rental boats (fishing, pontoon, and a small houseboat) and game room, we also offer : swimming pools, sand beach, volleyball, tennis court, basketball, paddle boats and satellite TV on a no charge basis. Our bait shop
provides, gas, ice, minnows and licenses.
